Barbq Shak - Burnet

How could I rate this barbecue legend with less than a million stars? Because the facilities are lousy, the parking lot is terrible, and the sides range from moderate to terrible. Specifically, the potato salad was unusable due to texture and too much salt and pepper. The corn was okay, but the green beans were pretty good. How about the grill? Yeah, it was great. The Brisket was a part of the wettest I've ever had. Prices are more than fair for quality of grill and portion size. This facility is definitely worth a visit.

Small, fast and delicious. Wow! 79 year old mom-in-law had Senior plate of brisket, beans and 2 sides. Love that she had a choice between dry or moist brisket. We also had a brisket sandwich and a 2 meat plate with ribs (moist, good smoke) and mild sausage (very tasty). All get 5 stars. Glad we stopped off the track for this.

Best BBQ in the Hill Country!!! Best Peach Cobbler Ever!!! They have other cobblers also but I've only tried the peach. I even ordered four for our Thanksgiving!! They have lean and moist brisket. They also have sausage, pork ribs and chicken. And of course all the sides and drinks.

Brisket was excellent, ribs were very good, sausage was decent. The spicy sausage was a bit overdue, but still worth eating. All meats were very smokey, this meal will stay with you all day, so not in everyone's general direction. The pages were just okay, but that's why you're not here, right? Potato salad and beans were type of beans, greens were decent, Makkaroni salad was a beautiful contrast to the smokey meat. Critical there was ZERO WAIT. Well, we went in the middle of the UT OU game, so I can't wait for that every day, but nothing beats to get top-tier grill without waiting in the line.

For the BBQ from the beaten path skip the other places in Llano and drive to Burnet. I had the big turkey sandwich, it was nicely smoked and juicy. It came with beans, a bag of chips and a drink for $8.99 plus taxes. My wife had the sausage package, along with potato salad, and she said it was delicious. This place looks small from the outside, but it has many interior and exterior seats. We eat here again on our next trip.
