Preference Restaurant - Burnaby

Tiny restaurant with the fancy menu books I found a parking spot on the side lot after zipping past the free street parking.

This restaurant serves mainly northern Chinese food.

A quaint restaurant that offers Sichuan and Taiwanese food. I arrived just after the doors opened at 11:30 AM and discovered the prices on their lunch specials very attractive. I enjoyed a very fulfilling lunch for under $10.

The owner takes great pride in their restaurant. They use a limited amount of MSG in their dishes. However, the service is lacking in friendliness and could benefit from employees putting on a more cheerful demeanor. If this were to improve, the restaurant could easily earn an additional star in their evaluation.

We didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to go to a restaurant near our house that we wanted to try. The place was small and we were the only ones there. They were taking orders and the waitress was nice. The food was on the spicy side, with the seafood noodles having jalapeños and small red peppers with seeds. The tripe and beef dish had a lot of chili oil, as did the beef soup. I particularly enjoyed the deep-fried chicken with roasted rice.
