Loch Side Lounge - Burlington

I ordered fish and chips and was really looking forward to it, but I was disappointed to find that the fish wasn't cooked properly—the inside was completely mushy. I've included a photo for reference. Additionally, I received some kind of dip that wasn't tartar sauce, so I couldn't even enjoy dipping my fries in it.

Was looking forward to dinner there after all the good things I heard. Asked for Sparkling Elderflower, they had no Elderflower. Asked for the 1lb Mussels, they ran out of mussels. Asked for a decaf coffee after our meal but ran out of decaf coffee. Our server was great, and I felt really bad for her. What we did have was good. Not sure I will ever go back.

My husband and I came in yesterday and saw the reviews and wanted to give it a try as I don’t see many Scottish restaurants around (at least where we live).We ordered the crab cake, Cajun chicken pasta and pulled pork sandwich. The food is delicious and the service is good. The only thing that was a little bit off was that the coleslaw that was served with the crab cake was brown. I brought it up to the manager and the server and they fixed it right away and gave us another salad. The drinks are really good at this place as well. If you haven’t been here then you definitely need to give it a try!

Tried to make a booking on line at this restaurant and was unable to do so . When I called the man I won’t call him a gentleman who answered the phone was quite abrupt .He told me he had disabled the on line booking option …though it did not say as much online ? Then he told me he would not take a reservation from me as 8 was too many people . Very rude, I have never eaten here and, I never will .

Came to this restaurant after looking at the menu online as it had some good options and was decently priced. When we arrived we got seated right away but wasn’t brought any water or greeted by a server for quite a long time. Another couple came in shortly after us and was brought water and greeted by a server right away and they hardly even finished sitting down yet. I was looking around waiting for a server to come around and take our order and hopefully get some water but it still didn’t happen. The employees were near but seemed to be chatting. I was about to leave when a server finally came and brought us some water and took our order. None of the three things I was interested in ordering from the online menu were actually on the menu when we went. So I had to settle for the pulled pork sandwich. I didn’t like it at all as it was super watery and completely fell apart when I bit into it. The garden salad I got on the side was also less than mediocre. The server that did end up coming was very nice though and the place was nice looking. Such a shame the food wasn’t that great.
