Contribuiți la feedbackMy partner and I tried this restaurant for the first time. The service and ambiance were outstanding. The food was also delicious. I went with the Hot Brown, which was good but not the best I've had. My partner chose the linguine with vegetables and absolutely loved it. We have definitely found a new favorite restaurant that we will be visiting often!
We went for the first time last night. Drinks, apps (fritters), and my husband’s meal (hot brown) was amazing and our server was great. We will be back. However; I ordered the Cajun pasta and it was too salty to eat. I can tell it had all the components of a great dish, but it’s like they forgot sausage is already salty. I never complain of anything being too salty- so this was surprising for us. They also may want to consider having a some sort of dress code for esp weekend evening hours. The building is so beautiful (inside and out) like out of of Jane Austen book, waiters are dressed up, and it has all the feels of an upscale experience, but there were people sloppily dressed in baseball hats and t-shirts shorts, along with some other people business casual. We weren’t dressy- but we definitely weren’t in sloppy clothes. Just not the experience I was hoping for as far as ambience goes.
Asked for 1st fl. table due to physical disability when I made the reservation. Didn't happen. Had to do the stairs. Online menu is different than inhouse menu. Prices are higher in person. Selection different. For me, prices are for special event, which it was, not for regular eat out dining. For me!!! Very nice inside.
We came to this spot to try some traditional Kentucky cuisine. The appetizers were really nice. Deviled eggs were delicious, and all of the dishes looked very nice. The interior is astonishing interior, and also the waiter was very nice and friendly. Hot brown is a really weird dish, and we couldn’t finish it because it is really fatty, but we really wanted to try. It was an amazing experience.
The Tousey House Tavern, located in picturesque Burlington, Kentucky, is a delightful historic restaurant that has been standing since the early 1800s. It has become one of the top dining spots in the area. The interior has a charming and somewhat romantic atmosphere, with additional seating available outside on their covered patio when the weather is nice. The menu offers a variety of options, including steak, chicken, salmon, and pasta, but their specialty is the fried chicken, which is delicious but may require a longer wait for preparation. Another popular dish is the Kentucky Hot Brown, which is highly recommended. It is advisable to make reservations online before visiting to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
