The crust was pure perfection, both the ingredients, the bake, the flavor, the texture, just amazing. A testament to how it's possible to elevate good ingredients toincredible heights with skill and dedication.
Does this place bring the divisive South Jersey/Philly attitude? Yes. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Emphatically, YES. As long as you understand that what they care about most is the quality of their food and ingredients and you abide mytheir (admittedly many) rules, you're gonna be fine and you're gonna have some of the best food in your life. The decisions theymake are mostly for the good of the quality and enjoyment of all the restaurant patrons, not just you. The flounce is real. Justchill out and enjoy the flounce.
I went to this place 3 years ago it was amazing. It was my first time back in the US and Vermont since covid and had them on my go to list. They told me no substitutions when I asked for no onions. It was clearly added at the end and easily removed, sotheir food cost to waste I guess. But ironically they made substitutions of their own and didn't add sauce dollops to the pizzadespite that being an item. They used an insane amount of cheese , like Cheese Monster from sesame Street would think it's toomuch. Yet skipped the sauce, and wasted the onions cause they could. Crust and edges were burnt, pizza was excessive to say theleast. The pile of oozing white melted cheese fat was gross. I had left overs but didn't eat them. Sad to see such a wonderfulplace fall to the trenches.
Steer clear if you?re offended by obnoxiously loud and endless Grateful Dead guitar solos with subwoofer bass and incredibly overpriced pizza. We got there before the crowds made it in yet saw multiple people who came after us being served before usdespite having only ordered a simple plain. The wait time was almost exactly one hour? This is far more Grateful Dead than Iever want to hear in one lifetime. Pizza was upper tier for Vermont, for sure but not a place I?d visit more than once.
Delicious pizza! Bring friends, because their square pies are big and you won?t be able finish it alone.
