Barkeaters - Burlington

I wish I could give the service 6 stars because everyone was so incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the menu. The food was delicious—the homemade hummus was excellent, my cheese platter was fantastic, and the salads were wonderful. I also enjoyed the draft beer selection. My only critique is that the prosecco in my wife's mimosa was flat. Otherwise, we loved this restaurant; the terrace was very pleasant and calm. We are definitely planning to return next time we’re in Burlington!

The calamari was disappointing; it seemed like I was just eating breading and sauce, without any real flavor of the calamari itself. I came here for the $12 burger night special on Wednesdays, which also included a beer. While you can't really complain about the value for $12, the burger didn't stand out to me. It wasn't memorable. For that price, I'd prefer to go to Archie’s down the street, where I can get a better burger for the same amount.

My family and I dined here after spending a day at the farm and museum, and we had a wonderful experience. The smash burger was fantastic, and the fried onions and cheddar were delicious. When we return to Vermont, this restaurant will definitely be on our itinerary. As for dietary considerations, my mother-in-law has gluten allergies, and they were very attentive in ensuring that everything she ordered was gluten-free.

Food is reliably good, and they have good vegetarian options. Prompt and friendly service. Outside dining is nice. Indoor is okay, but a little dark.
