El Pueblo - Burke

Coming from CA and TX, we really lack the flavors of Mexican cuisine. The ambience of this place is beautiful and it was clean. We had a toddler with us and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Everything did not taste amazing here, not terrible kind of a note on the flavors (we had tacos and enchiladas, and chicken tortilla soup . The thing we had from most was the prices relative to the portions. Not even in CA we would have to pay $16 for a plate. I wanted to try the Chile Relleno, but not for $20. Unfortunately, our search for a really delicious and affordable Mexican restaurant continues...

Horchata was a little watered. The Enchiladas Mexicans were good, but the chicken was not very spiced. The Aroz con pollo was the best we have. One of the entrances has a funny smell.

The food at this restaurant is always delicious and the portion sizes are large! I am 9 months pregnant and was craving one of their dishes in a burrito. They made my day! Thank you! This is definitely my favorite place to eat. Everything is top-notch!

A friend recommended this place to me and I was not disappointed. The food was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes.

The food was average and didn't justify the high prices. The service was very unpleasant. A staff member complained that splitting the check was too difficult, then added a 25% gratuity for herself despite providing subpar service (I paid $7.50 for a bottle of Heineken that arrived 20 minutes late). I can understand a mandatory gratuity, but not when I've received poor treatment or been told that splitting the check is inconvenient. I have no intention of returning to this restaurant.
