Hans' German Sausage Deli - Burien

Shoot me ? totally forgot to take pictures, but part of it was practical, not wanting to get drool on my phone. One of my absolute favorite places, this German deli has everything including these amazing German ladies where you can practice your German or go back into the memories of your childhood. I can never get there often enough and go here for treats anytime visitor s from out of state come ?

I visit as often as I can. They have a large selection of meat at the counter. Most of the staff does speak German if you want to brush up on your language skills. The chocolate verity is mouth water so much marzipan. They have apfelschorle and mezzomix.

Best sausages and cold cuts this side of the Mississippi, wieners are absolutely delicious, even had half liter bottles of Hofbauhaus beer from home.

My husband I drive to Metropolitan Market in Tacoma every week or two, specifically to buy special deli ham. This ham ranges in price from 24.99-99.99 per pound. We were hoping they carried it here as its much closer to home so we stopped in one day.What a horrible experience, it was.I asked the man in the deli (the one who approached us was very nice) if they carried Patanegra/Iberico ham. He did not understand me and I repeated myself.An older woman walked past another man working behind the deli counter and she asked that man what does she want and the black haired man who was loading the deli case, as rudely as he could, said I dont know Abraham Lincoln ham or something and began laughing at me.I gave them a 2 rating only because they did have alot of sausages and we buy alot of sausages and have great respect for sausage makers, but......We will keep driving to Metro Market in Tacoma and Emish Market in Fife for sausages and other things, I dont need to spend my money where customers are not appreciated and are openly ridiculed.

Always love going to this place. The staff is super friendly and some of them speak German which is a nice touch. The sausage, meat and cheese selection is awesome and they stock all my favourites and more, as well as a good selection of other goodies from the homeland.The only thing I find weird sometimes is the ticket system for the counter. After perusing the store it feels kind of odd to have to go back to the entrance door to pick a number then get in line. So German! And more often than not nobody has one anyway. But that's just a minor thing. Great store, great selection and great people working there!
