In Burg im Spreewald, a lot of ice is tasted in beautiful weather; there you really see many sitting in front of the ice cups with ice cups and still a lot more walking around with ice in the waffle in the hand. We made no exception on our holiday in Burg and enjoyed an ice cream in the waffle every day. There are many ice salons in Burg and we have already tried some. To the blue box, a salesman came to us in a clothing store and said that it was a secret tip that locals would buy their ice cream. So we also tried this ice salon. The ice costs EUR 1.20 per ball (as of June 2020), which is a typical price for the castle. The selection of varieties was not as big as we know from other ice cream cakes. Unfortunately, I can't say exactly what was there, because before, before Corona times, I often went (be careful) at the snake of waiters to the counter to look at the selections and impress on all lightness – that's why I count this time comprehensible and stay in the row of waiting people who were very long because of the well maintained distance between the individual groups. And because of waiting behind us, we didn't want to take too much time for our selection. We realized, however, that there were several nuts and also various fruit ice cream varieties. We decided spontaneously for walnuts and apricots. The apricot ice cream was very tasty, not so sweet, very slightly sour, with very fruity and very intense in taste. The Walnusseis was too sweet. Conclusion: The blue box will not be our favorite ice cream parour in the castle, but if we are to be overdue to the ice of the other ice salons, we will find alternatives here, because one fruit ice has tasted us, that will also apply to the other fruity varieties. I didn't take a picture. On the one hand, as it would not have been on the picture without a large number of persons due to waiting; on the other hand, but because I did not think about it before buying the ice, and then I was unable to do this with the ice in my hand. Very delicious ice cream, you can also put your own cup together. Special wishes have been implemented smoothly and behind the blue box you can sit comfortably and enjoy the delicious ice cream. It was great.

Starting point for delicious ice cream. Homemade yes, but not handmade. If you are really looking for handmade ice cream with natural ingredients, go the road towards the village a few steps further. But absolutely plus point are the opening hours: daily and so long beautiful weather is. Here you can get an ice cream in the evening, which is not so easy in the region. Another advantage is that you can mount your desired ice cup yourself. One chooses a direction, e.g. black forest cherry, and can then determine which taste balls should be ice in the pot. Or you can assemble your own cup from a kind of modular system. You can also sit comfortably, either on the front with a view of the colorful road ride or quieter on the side or behind the house. In best weather it can happen that you have to stand on a longer snake. But it's worth it.
