Half Baked Company - Burbank

I ordered one of their quarantine cakes for my birthday. I was excited to offer a vegan and sugar-free option (sweet with stevia). When I picked up my cake, they accidentally gave me the wrong one. it was also tiny! much smaller than I expected. the cake was not sweet at all. the part of the cake was very mild sweetened, but the frosting tasted just like salt and had a shaky consistency. When I look at the previous mistakes, I wonder if the baker has forgotten to add sweeteners to frost. I don't like very sweet cake, but this was tasty and mostly tasteless. I sent the owner/manager via email. she told me that someone else complained that the stevia-sweet cake was too sweet, so that they modified the recipe. I suggested a few times that if they change the recipe, they should cost the product before it sells to customers, especially because they charge so much for their cake, and they don't react. she offered me four cupcakes with sugar sweetened instead (4 cupcakes $20, I paid $55 for my cake). I would not recommend using baked for special events, because if they are moving, they will not make it right!

Highly recommend Half Baked Co!This family owned bakery is amazing. Their storefront is cute, clean, and classy. The staff is extremely amiable and I’m always so happy to see them. They are so sweet and easy to talk to. Not to mention they make the best vegan cupcakes I have had! They put the frosting on the top of the cupcakes after you order them which makes them super fresh and soft. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from and sometimes have seasonal flavors. The red velvet and pumpkin spice (seasonal but carrot is a close second) are my favorite. I’ve never ordered a cake from there I am but look forward to doing so sometime in the future.This is a definite must try spot.

We wanted a simple cake with sprinkles and Half Baked co came through! We placed our order over the phone and sent a photo just to show exactly how we wanted it. The finished cake looked perfect. The cake was pretty tasty and moist. Highly recommended. They also have many other cake designs and they can create custom designs in 3d!

This review is long overdue but I must say it exceeded my expectations with wanting a black cake and gold flower petal like designs! I went in with the idea of wanting to order a black cake for my birthday and Christina helped me out in deciding the flavor combinations. My guests and I loved the texture and softness of the cake so I truly was happy with the outcome! Because the cake was so soft, it did start to crumble as I was cutting it given that the fondant was the way that it was. However the flavor was the best treat!

This bakery offers vegan options that are really, super delicious! That’s usually hard to find for a “healthier” option. I bought a diy cake with 2x 6 inch rounds and frosting, no sprinkles, for $39.50.It’s in the pricier side but worth it! There is a nice seating area inside and it was an easy process to place an order on the website.
