Dalt Muntanya - Bunyola

A wonderful place to have a rest from the busyness of everyday life. With the tramuntana stretching out in front of the pool, local dishes on the menu with regionally sourced ingredients, the hotel and restaurant welcome you to Mallorca as it should be and as it is not viewed by many anymore. Absolutely worth a stay and a full on recommendation! Petra is an excellent host! The terrace and restaurant have been wonderfully renovated, the pool is welcoming and everything is clean. Some of the rooms still need a little renovation but that can be easily overlooked :

We had 3 nights there. The new owners are super nice. There are still some minor things to improve but the overall experience is great. Keep in mind that driving there can take a while.

Great hotel to stay in a somewhat remote place with lots of hiking options. The hotel is run by a couple who stay in the hotel. Very clean, nice patio restaurant. Breakfast is OK, with eggs cooked on order, cold meats, breads and pastries. The dinner we had was some of the best food we have had in Spain, cooked by the husband. It is not inexpensive, but definitely worth what we paid. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday, there is another restaurant serving decent food a few minutes walk away. Staff were responsive to questions and needs. Swimming pool was clean, in a nice setting with views of the mountains. What could be better: The shower was difficult. It was difficult to position, tended to spray everywhere, leaving the bathroom floor wet. All in all, highly recommended.
