Poppies cafe - BUNYA MOUNTAINS

We were informed about a talented barista who had received awards, with the belief that a great cup of coffee is 80% skill and 20% quality beans. Regrettably, the coffee we had from her today was weak and had a bitter taste.

I always enjoy visiting this café. The food is consistently excellent and great value for the price. The staff is friendly and we especially enjoy the birdlife, like the parrots, who are so friendly.

Good service, good food: the second time we visited and eat was great again and service still friendly. big burger and fries; heap and ham soup was excellent.

Stopped here to grab a coffee for the drive home (which was very nice). But the highlight particularly for our Canadian guests and kids was the feeding of the parrots. $3 for a bag of food and endless laughs and squeals.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and I decided to come back after a pleasant experience with a friend. I rang the bell and waited for 5 minutes, but no one came. I rang the bell again, with no response. There was no one there to greet us or make us feel welcome. It made me wonder how long the wait would be to get our food if we couldn't even place an order. The place was lovely, but it was disappointing to be ignored as customers. Even if the staff is busy, they should at least acknowledge their customers. I warned another couple outside, but they also left in disgust after heading in. Treating customers this way creates negative experiences and I will not be returning in the future. I have never been treated this poorly at any other cafe. Good luck with your business, but I will not be recommending it to anyone.
