Chicken Pantry - Bunnell

I ordered the grilled chicken, 2 pieces, but it looked like only 1 piece. The tiny piece was hard, dry, and horribly overcooked, while the other piece was tough, dry, and burnt. The service was pretty bad, with a small server who was never around. When I finally flagged her down and told her about the chicken, she was rude and asked what I wanted her to do about it. I asked for a replacement, and she begrudgingly brought out another piece 10 minutes later. This place has really gone downhill since my last visit, about 3 months ago. It's now a total rip off. The server hurriedly told us to go to the register when we were finished, without giving us a check. When I asked for the bill, she just handed me a sign saying to save 5% for cash, and then eventually told me the total was $44.46. After questioning the price, she re-rang it and it came out to $44.20. I couldn't believe the lack of organization. Looking at the menu later, I realized they had overcharged me for a 1-piece grilled chicken dinner. The only good thing about the meal was the cornbread. We also heard other customers complaining about their chicken dishes. It's disappointing that a place known for its chicken can't even get that right. The fried green tomatoes were undercooked and greasy. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, service a 1, and atmosphere a 2. The recommended dish would be the cornbread.

The restaurant is not filthy but it is dirty for a dining establishment. The service is mediocre and the fries were soggy. The lack of desserts was disappointing. The chicken Slovakia dish was okay, as was the ham club, although the tomatoes were not cored. My neighbor enjoyed the fried chicken, but I am hesitant to return to try it. Overall, the food was a 2, service a 3, and atmosphere a 1.

I had Chicken Pantry on my list of places to try, so when we were in town, we decided to stop in for lunch. Sadly, our experience was disappointing, but our server was very pleasant. The chicken was undercooked the first time and overcooked the second time, the mashed potatoes were cold, and the gravy resembled hot fudge. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Chicken Pantry. This place sucks. I don't understand why people think that this is good food. Yes my chicken was hot, but super greasy and rubbery. My fried okra was cold and mushy. Totally sucked. Mashed potatoes are instant. We're cold no butter. Gravy had to be from a can. Had a metallic taste to it. Corn bread was very granular and of course cold with no butter. My leg and thigh dinner was 15 dollars with no drink. I paid the bill and walked out, leaving my food behind. People please get a grip. This is no where near southern fried chicken. We drove from Palm Coast for breakfast. They advertise that they open at 8. They do NOT open at 8. Waste of a drive
