City Elements - Bundaberg

City Elements represented such a welcome addition to Bundaberg's café scene. The café itself is beautiful and the position with the street front is very inviting. There is so much potential for a great business and café.Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem to work. The staff appear to struggle with service and knowledge of the menu. The menu itself is a little high brow and over priced.My most recent experience was not the best with a long wait for my food and less than happy staff doing the service.I hope City Elements sorts out these issues as there so much opportunity for a reasonably priced dining experience with a regular lunch menu and morning teas where you can get a coffee and cake for say $8.Good luck to City Elements.

We (sister, friend and myself) stopped here on a Sunday, as it was one of the few places open. Inside was busy, so we sat outside, No complaints there - however the coffee was average, with the lemon tart tasting and looking like it had seen better days. It's not often that I leave food, but at $8.90 for a small tart and inedible at that, it was an underwhelming experience, and I left it on the plate after 2 bites. Please City Elements life your game - I doubt I will be back.

Only brought coffee and it was very week. I think they only use one shot whether it's a small or large, tasted very milky and it was skim. Great location and nice looking cafe but dear for the coffee for what it was.

Went in with a friend for lunch on a Sunday. After a look at the menu, we could only see breakfast options. We asked a staff member and were told they were doing breakfast menu all day. Food arrived, friends zucchini fritters were little deep fried blobs that were over cooked and greasy. One of the poached eggs on my plate was rock hard and cold. Restaurant was grubby, staff looked confused at times, and down right miserable the rest of the time. It's a lovely looking restaurant, but seriously, I can't see it lasting if they don't pick up their game. There are other much better options in town.

We hadn't visited this restaurant in a while, as we had been trying out some other places. However, we were pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was here. The servers, who were cheerful and clearly enjoyed their work, provided outstanding service. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere with a fantastic variety of food options on their breakfast and lunch menus. We will definitely be returning soon. We love it here!
