Thai Korat - Bunbury

Choose this restaurant after reading different reviews and wanting to have a Thai meal whilist holidaying in Bunbury.Happy we choose the Korat,inside has nice decor and looked clean and tidy.We had pad Thai,masaman beef and crispy duck in plum sauce and coconut rice,all the food was very tasty with the duck especially being very nice.Would easily recommend this place for anyone wanting a good Thai meal.

The restaurant was very clean & larger than expected from the street front. The staff were very welcoming & directed us to our table. We were catching up with friends & were given some time to settle in before being approached about ordering which was nice. Our friends had been before & said once the food is ordered it comes out very quickly which is a good thing if you are in a hurry. We asked for a platter of the starters instead of individual entrees which was no hassle & it looked lovely when it arrived. We all ordered our individual mains & it pretty much came out together. My chicken Pad Thai was tasty & plenty but could have been a little bit more spicy with Thai herb flavours. Its BYO.

The fishcakes were obviously microwaved and the rice that I had today was sour. They made me a new one and it was just ok. I really think they are not making things fresh when ordered. Use to be lovely food but not any more. My crispy pork was not crispy and it was chewy, i could not eat it. I wish I had refused to pay for my meal.

Having read some of the reviews my friends and I decided to try out the Korat, we were greater and seated very politely and menus given, it's a BYO restaurant (bring your own alcohol). We ordered and waited for less than 10 minutes for our starters, these were incredible, tasty and a very well balanced portion to the price being asked, the same happened with the mains, as soon as starters were finished, the table was cleared and our mains arrived. All in all a very good experience, lovely food and I will definitely visit again on our next trip.

Been here many times and has always been good quality. I won't say it's perfect but we come here more than the other Thai restaurants in town.
