China Panda - Bullhead City

The restaurant was peaceful and uncrowded, which was wonderful for us since we have an autistic son who prefers a quieter environment. The service was efficient, and we received excellent attention throughout our visit. The food was outstanding as well. The value for the amount of food we received was fantastic; we had more than enough to feed five people and even had leftovers to take home. The pricing was very reasonable. We will definitely return and bring friends with us next time!

The atmosphere left a lot to be desired, even for a Chinese restaurant in the desert. The place featured mostly bare walls and worn Formica-topped tables. However, the menu looked extensive and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the #2 family dinner for $10.95 each, and I chose the beef and broccoli. I noticed they had a shrimp and broccoli option for just $2 more, so when our server finally came by, I asked if I could substitute it and pay the difference. She firmly said, “No substitutions!” The food arrived in a reasonable time, starting with the soup. I thought it was decent after adding soy sauce, but my wife found it bland. Next came the appetizers that accompanied the family-style dinner, and they were, in a word, greasy. When the entrees finally arrived, I took one bite of mine and knew I wouldn’t be able to finish it—it was terrible! Without revealing my thoughts on my dish, I asked my wife how she felt about hers, and she quickly responded with, “Awful!” We tried to improve the flavor with some of the sauces they provided with the appetizers, but unfortunately, you can’t make bad food taste good, especially when it’s both bad and overly salty. Eventually, our server noticed we weren’t eating and asked if we’d like to take the leftovers home. We said “certainly not” and explained our issues with the blandness and excessive saltiness. She simply replied, “Desert people like a lot of salt.” If China Panda is considered one of the top restaurants in Bullhead City, I truly feel sorry for the locals.

I ordered the soup, which was delicious and packed with large shrimp and plenty of dumplings! I went to the smaller location, which was quite busy. The variety of dishes, including pork, shrimp, dumplings, and broths, were all fantastic. I also tried the cashew chicken, which had a generous amount of cashews and a wonderfully flavorful sauce.

The Cashew Chicken at Solitary is fantastic! The portions are huge, and the food is hot and fresh. I will definitely order again! It's much better than Panda Express, for sure!

I highly recommend ordering authentic Chinese food here! It was excellent! I will definitely be returning soon.
