Niko Niko Sushi - Buford

I used to love this restaurant and would visit every other weekend. The freshness and quality of the sushi is fantastic, but they really need to improve their customer service. I prefer dining at places where I am welcomed with a smile, instead of feeling ignored or isolated. Sushi Niko Niko used to be a great spot for a meal, but I can only give it two stars now due to poor management. There should be no yelling at customers or overcharging for tips. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore.

I went there earlier this year to celebrate my birthday with a party of six and we had made a reservation. We didn't mind waiting to be seated, but once we were seated, we had to wait about 30 minutes before our server came to greet us. At that point, we were ready to order drinks and food. After placing our order, we didn't see our server again for quite some time. It was clear they were understaffed and overwhelmed. What was particularly concerning was when our server informed us that a number of staff had walked out that day, leading to many servers not showing up for their shifts. He also mentioned that he had quit earlier that day, but the owners had begged him to come in for the night. It was evident he was stressed and probably should have taken the night off. I genuinely can't imagine anyone being successful working under those circumstances. Although our server did his best considering the situation, it was frustrating to overhear staff arguing and fighting with each other while we waited. After almost an hour, we finally received our drinks, but we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere—at Ted's Montana, which was fantastic. Niko Niko really needs a management overhaul and possibly even new ownership. Unfortunately, we will never return.

"Wow, the sushi here is fantastic! The portions are generous and the quality is consistently top-notch, which is why I keep coming back. However, I must say that the service leaves much to be desired, as others have pointed out. Additionally, I encountered an issue where my card was charged twice for $50, and I wasn't able to resolve it over the phone since customer support wasn't very helpful. Despite these drawbacks, I still highly recommend this place for the sushi alone; I've dined here over eight times already!"

Amazing sushi list with pictures. If you're anything like me and order sushi by how it looks, this is the place for you. Super fresh and tasted amazing.

I wish I could leave a ZERO star review but even with that the owner could careless. I complained about a food being nothing like the menu picture and not indicating the dish was spicy. I didn?t even touch as I don?t do any spicy level. Owner said itcouldn?t be replaced and that I had to pay. No I?m sorry, nothing. It was said exactly like that. Also, the ceviche salad, isnow a lame 5 piece fish, one shrimp, one octopus and a couple strings of turnips. Spend your money somewhere else.
