I give it an OK because the food is Just OK. Unfortunately found a hair in the crab legs. Not just on it but in them. When I told the manager about it he stated it didn 't come from their staff because it wasn 't Asian hair. I then asked if his kitchen staff wore hair nets. He answered No I checked afterwards. Apparently it is law that anyone handling food should wear a hair net.
Food was very salty. Sushi was fridge cold.the staff kept bringing our order to other table beside ours. First time and last time going there.
Very disappointing today, the first time we were there it was great, food and service, today the food was under cooked or real greasy, the service was atrocious and people need to teach there kids frigging manners. Have no plans to recommend or go again.
This placed used to be an AYCE Chinese buffet before as well named Red Maple. The layout was sort of different and the ambiance was different as well. Supposedly Eclipse has been here for a while but I never came when my coworkers went all this time. I must have been away or had the day off. When I eat in Burlington it's 98% of the time for lunch so this was for the lunch service. First off this place does not feel the same as the old place in that it just seems much more darker in appearance. The lighting may be sufficient but seriously the walls are painted black. It just seems ominous... The food stations are organized in a way that makes sense, dim sum to one side, mains in another, salads in another basically not that different from most buffets out there. The selection is good but not the best I've ever seen. If you're into chicken you'll find it done 6+ different ways. Pepper chicken, General Tso, lemon (battered), chicken balls, fried wings (battered), sauced wings and more that I'm missing for sure. Some shrimps, some seafood and a few other meat choices with a couple beef and pork. Rice, noodles, veggies (aka fillers) are there too with some good variety. I admit this go around I completely bypassed the salad which is not out of the ordinary. The thing that stands out here is that they have a decent variety of maki rolls to choose from and it's not just like 4 different kinds there are well over a dozen to choose from with some veggie options to the left (no fish/tempura/egg at all inside). The sushi isn't necessarily a la carte quality but honestly for a buffet (in Canada) it's one of the better I've seen. The bottom line is their sushi puts places like Mandarin to shame because theirs is not good at all. For lunch there were some dishes that weren't filled up right away but they were eventually replenished. That's the thing about buffets, they're actually better when it's busy because the food turns over much faster and the food stays fresher that way. For lunch it wasn't bad and it was 15 bucks after tax before tip. It's a decent price for lunch and if you don't have long for lunch but you're hungry it's a good option because you just need a table and then you can pretty much start eating immediately. I'd go back again.
