Contribuiți la feedbackWe stopped by a recommendation from the Secrets of Buenos Aires app for lunch, and we were glad we did. Service was excellent, and the owner speaks fluent English and also has English menus if desired. Sandwiches are big here, and we have a side of fries that were freshly made so that they were quickly revealed. Light ambience, great experience. We will try to come back for dinner so we can taste the pasta!
Great service in a pleasant atmosphere, where you are sufficiently away from other guests. The hamburgers with Carne, Cheddar, grilled onions, tomatoes and salad on a brioche black sesame seed beer were perfectly seldom cooked for us on request. We had 2 glasses from Malbec, I changed to espumante (I took the bottle home, Animal is a fantastic extra dry brood), double-expresso, sparkling water, and a Catalan dulce de leche cream brulee for $27 without tip. I highly recommend it.
My favorite place to eat lunch and sometimes go at night. A place where you can simply enjoy good food, homemade dessert, friendly people and the everyday life of the city.
At the beginning the place smells quite strange - perhaps it came from the toilets, but we decided to give it an attempt as the opinions were quite good here on Trip Advisor and we could reserve a table online with a 20% off food. The waiter seemed nice and spoke a little bit English. Menu was very simple and it was not difficult to decide what to order. We waited for food for a while and when it was finally finished, the waiter fell on the ground! We were asked if we wanted a free starter to compensate for another waiting, but we said “No, thank you” when we were not so hungry to eat both starters and main course... But we still have it! My veggie quinoa burger was nothing but ordinary, and my husband's steak was not great either. In the end, we found that we can't get the 20% if we want to pay from Mastercard (not have enough money) The waiter suddenly got uncomfortable and started to speak Spanish very quickly and we couldn't quite understand what was going on. Anyway... It went from a bad start to a disappointing end when we left with bad feelings and decide that we never come back here again.
Very nice dishes, prepared and served with a lot of love and care. A really pleasant place somewhat in-between the culinary cluster at Avenida Caseros and the tourist mile further down Defensa. Perhaps that is why it is very fairly priced. The owners and their team are super nice and helpful. Lunch sets, wine selection, craft beer... great experience also for newcomers to Argentinean ways.
