Very good Chinese food. fresh products and well served portions. I recommend rice with shrimp and fried shrimp (wantan of shrimp) very affordable prices.
I pretty much had had my fill of steak and Italian food so I decided on Chinese. I like trying Chinese food in different countries to compare to the US. I got the combination fried rice which was really pretty good and wasn’t greasy. The...roast pork was equally delicious. The shrimp toast was larger than I anticipated and was just ok—I’ve had better. The portion sizes of the dishes are huge, and are enough for two people.
Staying in Recoleta puts you in close proximity to lots of places for steak, pizza, and bakeries. If you are looking for something different to try then Garden is a good place to go. We ate there last night and the food was quite good....The three of us ordered the beef with oyster sauce, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable chop suey and white rice. The beef was the tastiest of the three but all the dishes were ok and similar to chinese food in the U.S. The service was good as our waiter was attentive throughout the meal. Beware the front door chiming constantly during your meal since take-out delivery seems to be a big component of their business (a good sign for the restaurant and typical of most chinese places I have observed). With bottled water and beer, we paid Not cheap, but we left stuffed. I would rate a if the prices were a bit less.
Since our apt is several doors from Garden, we decided to order takeout. Every day the restaurant, which opens for lunch at has people in it. We ordered Spring eggrolls(Arrolladito primv) at Chicken Fried Rice(Chau Fan-Arroz Saltado con Pollo Next time I'll wrap the eggrolls with a paper towel, as oily. But they were tasty and the fried rice was enjoyable. Next time we'll try the chow mein, as in the USA, we're used to more sauce. Not bad for with leftovers, when you're looking for a change from pasta/meat!
