Recommended by our taxi driver. we wanted to go as soon as we came to our hotel when we were hungry after the international flight. had to come back at 12:00. at 12:10 am full. great empanadas and great atmosphere.
We had a nice meal here in buenos aires. our waiter was so beautiful and we could come by with our very limited spanish. eating was simple, but hearty; they offer something for everyone. it felt like we had experienced a traditional, less modern side to buenos aires. it was full of character and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend it.
What a wonderful and authentic Porteño experience we had in the restaurant sanjuanino. they have an excellent kitchen along with great and fun service. clientele is alive. it is a pretty much to do, regardless of the meal time. we shared an ojo de bife and salate, tomato and wobble, the house salad. fantastic! and of course for dessert we had flanned with dulce de leche and cream. this is a must visit place to have a meal, transport in time and good company to enjoy.
Great place a short walk from Recoleta Cemetery. We were hoping to get a seat outside but went into basement area and so glad we did. We sat next to some local older gents and had an unforgettable afternoon sharing stories and food. By the...way the food was good too. Empanadas, Humita and Chorizo A La Ponarola. The staff were also very friendly, happy and jovial.
