Gaucho Grill Buena Park

Excellent from start to finish. From the front door welcome to the cleaning of the table. Food was excellent, service was equally excellent. Will return again!

We arrived around 7:45 PM with a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and provided excellent service. However, it took nearly 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We ordered the meat parillada, which was plenty for two people. Unfortunately, the skirt steak and ribs were tough and not as tender as we had hoped. On the positive side, the lamb chops, chorizo, rib eye, and New York steak were quite good. The side dishes were average—just mashed potatoes and vegetables. The desserts, however, were delightful; we tried the flan and banana ice cream. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience but wished the meat cuts had been better.

Everything was great, but the temperature inside the restaurant was quite cold.

Love Gaucho! And have been frequenting them often since they opened a few years back. This past trip service was extremely slow and all of journalist steaks came out rare. However the empanadas were perfection and I love their drinks. Hopefully tonight was just an off night. I’ll be back though.
