Really disappointed with my last visit to the Kawana restaurant. Used to love this place when it first opened but last night showed how much it has gone down hill. I ordered the hoisin duck noodles after seeing it online because it looked delicious (as seen in the photo). However, what came out was nothing like what I was excited for. It was super pale, 90% noodles and super oily. Only a few bits of duck and just overall not a nice meal. Especially when you’re paying $22, I really expected better. Giving 2 stars because the guy at the counter was really nice. Safe to say I will not be returning.

Ordered takeaway (the eat for 2 deal . We got 2 pad thais and they were unfortunately both had zero flavour, and tasted honestly nothing like Thai food. I’m so disappointed. We also didn’t get our fortune cookies! (A small thing but still annoying! The staff were nice however the food was unfortunately a huge let down. I even had to re-cook our meals at home with fish sauce and oyster sauce to try and salvage it but still couldn’t eat it. I’m sorry to say but if you want authentic Thai then do not go here.

Terrible food. We were a group of four dining on NYE, the experience total ruined our day. All of our food were sloppy wok stir fry, tasted terrible and oily. The wait was over an hour. Seems like they were trying to fulfill phone orders first. Not worth the steep price they were charging, $18.90 for oily tasteless Singapore noodles with uncooked seasoning of turmeric powder. Don't go people. Meal type: Dinner
