Pampas Steakhouse - Budapest

Ordered the Pampas steak and it was very good! Unfortunately the sides were below average. We ordered the mixed-fries, grilled vegetables and steamed asparagus as well as x green pepper sauce and x garlic sauce. The fries were identical to the ones, that you buy from the frozen section in a supermarket and they were portioned in small cups, instead of a plate. They were not crispy, and kinda soggy. It seems like a cost-cutting measure to be honest. The steamed asparagus had a texture similar to overcooked spaghetti, almost no flavor and a lot of water in them. The grilled vegetables were OK, just some different vegetables that was grilled and had some olive oil poured on them. The sauces reminded me of a behcamel with some added green peppercorns and garlic, and they were room-temperature when we received them along with rest of our order. Go there for their impressive selection of different cuts of meat, it is very good. The sides-dishes, not so much.

Honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had! The service was brilliant. Made my boyfriends birthday extra special. Thank you so much, will definitely be returning next time we’re in Budapest!

The food was very good but overpriced.The service was good.We told them we were celebrating our anniversary and I thought we would at least get a free drink or something but we received nothing.

I am a client of this restaurant since 3 years. I always came with my working colleagues. Always we got very good quality of the food. This time I joined with my family (private) an we ordered Argentinian beef steak- we received in exchange a low quality steak- that was either a Hungarian beef stake or something else, but no way Argentinian beef steak. Before getting the order we were asked what nationality we are, and this might have influenced the “selection” of the meat . I am disappointed as I paid so much money for a low quality steak! I will not recommend anymore your restaurant to my customers and the company I am working with. You just lost many customers due to this

The service given by the waiter was excellent. We were very satisfied with the gluten free options.
