So sad France is famous for bread and pastries the bread and pastries were those you’d get in a cheap hotel or supermarket. Really disappointing. The coffee was ok
Great spot, quiet and peaceful; great staff, really nice rooms and good dinner food/service. breakfast was great too. Will definitely go back.
The location was superb as was the Chateau. The pool and grounds were lovely too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hot tub on the balcony was great, but needs a service to replace the controls. The restaurant food was brilliant, albeit not to my wife's liking. Cannelloni was not what she thought more like steak tartare! The accomodation is full of character, might need a lick of paint on bedroom ceilings or bathroom door needed the handle fixing which I did myself with a Leatherman. But what can you expect on such a lovely old building. We loved it and would definitely recommend!!
Wonderful night with great food. Beautiful grounds and exterior, nice little pool with heating and cover. Lots of character. Interior design an eclectic mix of traditional French and IKEA and some of the facilities are a bit tired around the edges (the jacuzzi button panel had fallen off, for example). But these oddities are reflected in the very reasonable price for spacious rooms and lovely facilities. Service was generally very friendly. We ate in the restaurant and thought the food very reasonably priced for the quality that you get. Would highly recommend and plan to stay again.
We passed the chateau a few times on our route to the Golf hotel d'Ailette and got curious and drove up it's drive way to see a hidden pearl of well kept grounds and a seemingly pleasant restaurant. We made reservations for a few days later and liked almost every moment. The food was prepared by a master chef, very subtile in taste and served highly esthetical on black china, the sancerre. wine we had was extremely good at a moderate price. The staff was friendly and efficient. The almost part of my review went to the abhorent background musac the management deemed necessary and refused to switch off on my complaining, a needless disturbance to the otherwise fine experience.
