Restauration Roumaine Rustic - Brussels

Never had Romanian food before so figured I'd give it a try. Hands down the best food I ate in Brussels. Fresh bread rolls with the best cheese I've never had. I got the pork chop and wife got the Serbian chicken. Imagine 2 pork chops covered in bacon chunks and chicken livers and sausages with fries and salad and seasoned rice and then imagine loads of thin slices chicken fried crispy and then seasoned and stacked and fried again with amazing cheese to hold it together in a garlic butter sauce. The portions are so damn large one meal can feed two no problem and for the price you can't be beat. We also got some desert donut cream cheeses filled thing with blueberry and fruit sauce covers magic cake of awesomeness. Was so good we came back the next night.

Thanks to Yelp for this find as I wasn't too familiar with Belgium/Romanian food. This was a great find as it wasn't located in the main area and really in a hidden smaller street. The restaurant is small and had only about 10-12 tables. I really didn't know what to expect so with the hostess' recommendation ordered one of their specialty pork dishes that came out on a huge platter of salad and fries. They also give you a generous helping of bread with cheese and tomatoes. The whole thing was only 12 euros. The food was very good and enjoyed every bite of it! Certainly keeping this as a recommended place for anyone who wants to visit.

First time having Romanian food. Quite tasty. Large portions. The menu is in many languages, including english.

Excellent restaurant. There are not many tables so a reservation is advised or so you have to have luck like us! The plates are really copyy and the correct prices compared to other restaurants in the city. Excellent service.

Small typical restaurant, sweet price and very hearty dishes. Besides, it's very good. Why do you hesitate?
