Contribuiți la feedbackLocated on Nicholson Street as you head towards Albion Street (Just near Blyth) Milkwood is on your right coming from the city. Milkwood is a crowded, noisy, echo-y cafe with a-little-too-loud music. Yet- that 's sort of why you go there. The atmosphere is busy and bustling and on a weekend you 'll likely struggle to find a table. This is one of those cafes where you will almost definitely have to escalate your speaking volume. You 're on top of everyone else at almost every table you sit at- and you can hear a hundred conversations at once. However, the crazy and bit-too-busy nature of it doesn 't appear to detract from the service...Or the coffee. My god- the coffee. Strong, earthy, not in the slightest bit bitter- and never burned. It came at the perfect temperature- decorated with skillful latte art. I 'd go back for the coffee alone. The food was standard fare for Melbourne Cafes- nothing too extra-special/out-of-the-ordinary or stand out. But it was done well. And basics done well is what I love. I 've put this on my Return Regularly list. It doesn 't appear wheel chair friendly- and the toilets are awkward to get to even for able-bodied people. (They do have toilets they 're just a bit hidden). There 's a step at the front door and I believe steps to the side as well. However there is tables out the front but there 's no cover from sun or rain. It 's worth a look in if you can find a park.
Really friendly staff, and a nice pot of tea. Great atmosphere, and decent breakfast options as well. Decent servings too.
Had a wonderful brunch this morning. I had the gorgeous and tasty porridge with a side of bacon and of course a lovely hot chocolate. My partner had the home made crumpets with goats cheese and honey. We even took some caramel slice to go and we have already eaten those tonight and yum is an understatement. The service was fast and super friendly. This is a gorgeous little cafe on Nicholson Street and we will be back! Sooooo good!
This Cafe is pure delight. Large range of dishes and the most divine homemade jams which you can purchase. There is a lovely back room which is toasty in winter or refreshing in summer when the doors are open. Attentive staff and fair prices.
I came here for lunch with my wife. Compared to the weekend it wasn't too hard to get a table. They have some very interesting foods. Their picked vegetable baguet was unusual, but good. And the eggs Kerjiwal (don't know how to spell it) were amazing.
