The Backyard - Brunswick

My family's recent visit to Backyard was highly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the staff ignored us, and it took far too long to get any attention. When we finally did get service, it was lackluster at best. The bar staff was unhelpful and downright rude, making us feel unwelcome. The lack of cleanliness was also concerning. The tables were sticky, and the overall environment felt neglected. It’s a shame because the place has potential, but the poor service and unclean conditions left a bad impression. We won’t be returning anytime soon.

We met our friends there at 6:30 for the band at 8 pm and immediately the server grabbed the regular menu from our hands and replaced it with a very limited menu, rather disappointed as we were starving and were going to be drinking for the evening, but we made the best of it even though i think 6:30 on a Saturday is rather early to pull the plug on a dinner menu. HOWEVER, the absolute worst nightmare was a ladies room with ONE stall in the bathroom for a venue with several hundred in house that night. The line to use the bathroom was awful. I asked if there was another bathroom or maybe porta potties somewhere, but there didn't seem to be any other provisions made. Never again.

We had our engagement party there with about 25 people and it was so much fun! The workers are amazing and it is the perfect spot to have fun! The DJ that was there was awesome and the karaoke was so much fun!! I would highly recommend to anyone!!

Amazing food, fun trivia nights, and they have a great outdoor bar/patio and a sand volleyball court!

Sometimes a little slow on service but overall a great atmosphere and a great place to hang out.
