Thai Paradise - Brunswick

Here’s a little tip you might find intriguing: Thai Paradise is typically closed on Mondays, but Jack mentioned that if we gathered a party of five or more, he would open the restaurant just for us. It was impressive! When we mentioned certain dishes we had missed on our previous visit, Jack simply responded that he would prepare them for us. I’m thrilled to say that he delivered spectacularly. That evening turned out to be one of the best culinary experiences my wife and our family have ever had. If you're in the area, don’t miss out on Thai Paradise. The fresh flowers throughout the restaurant and its casual atmosphere create a wonderfully comfortable and relaxed setting. If you visit, be sure to ask Jack about the whole crispy fish—it’s not on the menu, but it’s absolutely mouthwatering. And don’t forget to try the mango sticky rice; it’s a perfect way to end your meal. We enjoyed a lovely Argentinean Sauvignon Blanc with our fresh dishes, making it all the more enjoyable. Authentic Thai Cuisine! The restaurant is situated in a charming old house that has been beautifully converted. It features wooden floors and vibrant table settings. The food was excellent; I particularly enjoyed the dish with basil, green and red peppers, onions, cashews, and shrimp. The level of spiciness at 4 stars was perfect for my taste, although it might be too spicy for some. I definitely recommend this place and plan to return. The cost was approximately $25 per person.

The Thai Paradise is no more. New owners have taken over for almost a year now. The prices are more reasonable, and the food has improved. The restaurant's new name is Sweet Angel. I've eaten there many times since I have Uncle Tom's Market next door. (June 7, 2013)
