We had the opportunity to eat here during New Year's Eve, and every single item that we had was extremely delicious. The owners have a sense of pride with the dishes that they're offering with quality and locality in mind. From the steaks to the oysters and potato related sides, everything was local. We had the best oysters we've ever had at this location. The food was so good that every customer took the time to say hello and thank you to the chef after finishing their dinner. Kim, our server and Sunny, the chef are the faces of this restaurant, and they made sure that we felt at home the moment we stepped foot in their establishment. Scallop crudo, raw oysters, fried oysters, filet mignon, all of it made for a great end of the year meal, the best meal that we've had for 2022.
Personal service by the owners. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The steak my husband ordered was tender and flavorful. My oysters, amazing! Can’t wait to return to have the Japanese steak. Limited menu, but so much attention to detail on what they serve. Looking forward to going back!
What a wonderful place! This was our second visit and, a year after our last trip to Maine, it was every bit as good as it was our first visit. Simple but lovely contemporary decor, wonderful, friendly service, and amazing food. The menu is limited but that's what makes the food so special. We split a Caesar salad and both chose a Ribeye as our entree. They were done exactly as ordered. Our meal was not inexpensive but was well worth every penny.
My son and I were lucky enough to get a table tonight for dinner and he said this is the best meal I have had in over a year . He also said it moves Bowdoin up on his list of schools so we can take him out to dinner here. Great fresh oysters, excellent steak and pot roast, and the deep fried brioche bread pudding made for a wonderful meal filled with conversation. And, the tap water was just fine. They are currently seating well below capacity by choice and this allows for very friendly personalized service. I hope my son chooses Bowdoin so we can come back.
Pleasantly greet but then abruptly kicked out because we said we were a small party of 6 total (3 were coming 5 minutes later). They wouldn't even let us sit separately, and she waved us out. Rude and hope she gets hexed.
