Maltshovel - Broxtowe

Four of us had a good Sunday lunch here today. Between us we had chicken, pork and beef all well cooked, with chocolate brownie and apple crumble to follow. We sat next to the open fire in nice surroundings. Staff were very attentive Selection of 8 ales on tap. We will go back again. Looking at the board, there is plenty going on mid week e.g. Quiz night etc. Tucked away in a side road, we were able to park in the car park and found it not too noisy. Looks the sort of place for a pint and the paper. See you soon!

Excellent little hideaway ,one of those places that looks after customers. Warm inside (HEATING ON) free coffee refills good simple menu,we will try Sunday lunch this weekend. Sarah good social able bar person ,Carla the chef nice sociable person. Good value for money. Nice place.

Been drinking in here off and on for a few years, but the new owners have done a great job with the place. They have a good selection of beers, wines spirits. The real ales are very well kept The bar staff are all very friendly welcoming I highly recommend the Sunday roast, yes it may be a little pricier than most places but it's definitely worth it!!

Headed to the malt shovel on Sunday the 29th of May, first day of them serving roasts for a while and it was incredible ! Great service , great food and fab atmosphere, thank you

I recently visited The Malt Shovel with friends to try out their festive menu and I was not disappointed! I opted for the Japanese Christmas dinner (fried chicken) which was fantastic! For dessert, I tried the Yuzu cheesecake, something I had never had before, and it was a solid 10/10. Kudos to the chef! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back to try the rest of the festive menu. The customer service was excellent as always. I lucked out on the night I visited as they were introducing their new Christmas cocktail, which was dangerously good. I will be returning soon!
