Runaway Train Cafe - Brownwood

I took my grandson to the train museum, and afterwards we stopped by this restaurant for some snacks. The building is incredibly cool, and the service was excellent. The staff member even crouched down to take my grandson's order, which he thought was really nice. Brady loved his grilled cheese sandwich, and I was thrilled to discover a veggie burger on the menu! You all should definitely check this place out!

What an amazing find! We were driving by and had to turn around and go back to check it out. To say the staff was amazing would be an understatement! It was the best service we have had in forever!!! The food us also great. My husband had the clamchowder and ruben. I had the potato soup and club sandwich. Both were perfect. This is a must to visit if you are near!

So neat! Take advantage and visit the owner's bookstore in downtown as well. The waitress was extremely customer oriented even when she started getting busy and a sweet little girl even came up and hugged her while she was taking our order. Everythinghere has been meticulously picked out to fit the theme. I had new England clam chowder and was extremely nervous about orderingthis dish in the middle of Texas. It was delicious! Treat yourself and get pictures while you are here. The train even sits onrailroad tracks! There is also someone there to get the door to greet you and tell you goodbye!

During our visit to Brownwood, we decided to stop by this restaurant, and we are so glad we did. The chili cheese dog was absolutely delicious, and the tater tots and fried pickles were the best I've had in a long time! I would highly recommend this place.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on Tuesday while we were in town for a volleyball game. The waiter greeted us at the door and seated us quickly, which was a nice start. The service was exceptional; our drinks were always topped up. I ordered the half-pound burger with fries, and my wife had a club sandwich with clam chowder. Everything was served hot and tasted fantastic. We were very impressed with the service; our waiter was polite and attentive. We will definitely come back again. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience.
