Golden Chippy - Broomhill

On holiday in the area in November. Chips were very good. Fish was nice but the batter couldn’t of been better. Place was clean and staff were friendly too

Best pizzas around! Sometimes a little too well done on the base but still miles ahead of anyone else in the surrounding area.

Completely disappointing. The curry sauce costs £1.50, but you only get about a tablespoon’s worth. The food was dripping with grease...yuck. Overall rating: Food: 1, Service: 1, Atmosphere: 1.

The fish and chips were served quickly and were delicious. The pizza was also excellent. The chicken nuggets were made with real chicken. This place is a fantastic discovery!

I travel all over the country and have tried many fish and chips shops over the years. Even after visiting some supposedly award-winning chippies in places like Whitby and Lincoln, I've often been let down. However, my wife and kids are always happy to get takeout from Golden Chippy, which speaks volumes to me—keeping the family satisfied is what matters! Just a heads up: it's cash only, but that’s not an issue since there are cash machines at the Coop and outside the Premier Shop just around the corner. One last thing that bothers me—I've overheard some tourists complaining about the prices while I've been there. Some people can be quite rude! I really wonder where they come from or what they're used to eating if they think these prices are high. There's no dining-in, but you could sit on one of the benches inside if you like. Takeaway and delivery are definitely available. As for parking, there’s space out front in the lay-by, as well as in the Coop car park and around the back of the chippy.
