Yia Yia Taverna - Brooklyn

The food was incredible! The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The staff was very friendly as well. We will definitely be coming back!

We were impressed by the fantastic reviews of Yia Yia’s Taverna, so we decided to check it out. The decor is simple, clean, and cozy, with plenty of seating available both indoors and on the patio. The menu offered a great variety of options, making it difficult for us to choose. We ordered Cold Appetizers, Grilled Octopus, Fried Calamari, Falafel, and Yia Yia’s Mixed Grill Platter to share among four of us. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Overall, the food was delicious, particularly the octopus and the meatball on the mixed grill platter. The octopus was grilled to perfection—juicy and tender—while the meatball was flavorful and satisfying. We were incredibly full, so we didn’t have the opportunity to try any desserts, but we plan to visit again soon.

Wow! We visited this restaurant last night to celebrate our 9-year anniversary and were craving Greek cuisine. Our dinner was exceptional. We ordered the seafood platter, which included grilled octopus, squid, and shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection. The lemon potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for delicious seafood. The prices are quite reasonable too!

I am so happy my wife and I decided to come here for dinner. The food here is so authentic and the owner who I hope you have the pleasure to meet is such a wonderful person. My wife and I love to share so we ordered the Seafood platter which comes with thegrilled octopus, we also ordered the assorted cold dips and the saganaki. If you ever had saganaki you will love thepresentation and once again very authentic I can't express that enough. Every bite was amazing I felt like if was eating at arestaurant in Greece. The food, the atmosphere and the amazing host you will not be disappointed. Also, you have to try thehomemade sangria's it just puts it all together. To our fantastic host Adom thank you for your hospitality and your verydelicious food. We had such an amazing time and what's even better is now we don't have to travel to Manhattan or to Astoriaanymore when we want to have an authentic Greek meal. This is definitely my new favorite place... We will be back very soon!
