I rated this Chinese restaurant 3 stars, which is quite generous for any spot in Brooklyn. In my opinion, no place deserves a higher score. I ordered the sesame chicken along with a side of chicken wings. If you've been following the scene before COVID, you know that breaded chicken dishes at most Chinese takeout places are typically about 10% chicken and 90% breading, often made with old meat. This results in over-frying, and the sauce tends to lose its flavor, which could be enhanced with vinegar, though for some reason, they never seem to use it. This restaurant is no exception, but I will say that their chicken wings are a good size, which is rare these days—many other Chinese spots serve wings that are barely larger than my pinky finger. As long as they keep their wings this way, I’ll keep coming back. However, I’ll be avoiding the sesame chicken and will continue to search for better options. After all, why settle for sesame chicken when you can enjoy sweet and sour pork?
