Contribuiți la feedbackOur experience started with the hostess who was not very friendly. We tried to engage and make some light convo but we?re met with complete stiffness. There were very limited vegan options, the pickles and a salad, so I dove into some vegetarian items. The house bread was really overpriced. 4 small pieces for $10 and it did not leave an impression. The radicchio salad was quite fresh and tasty and they were able to put the goat cheese on the side. The mushroom sandwichcould have been so amazing but it was just so so. I couldn?t really feel the texture of the oyster mushrooms, just a lot of pickled veggies. The device was quite slow, we often had to wait a long time for the server. While the interior Iwas nice and cute, I probably won?t be coming back. Sustainability rating: average. Single use Napkins but reusable dining ware.
**Beef Tongue Sando:** The bread is light and crispy, while the tongue has a slightly gamey flavor. The sauces add a creamy tang that ties the dish together beautifully. **Brussel Sprouts Okonomiyaki:** This dish was my favorite. The batter is light, and the vegetables bring a satisfying crunch, complemented by the smoky flavor of the brussel sprouts. The sauce is absolutely perfect. **Duck à l'Orange Skewer:** A great choice for bar food. It was a bit on the salty side, but the citrusy sauce pairs well with the richness of the duck. **Pork Belly Skewer:** Unfortunately, this was my least favorite. Although it was well-cooked, it was simply too salty for my taste. **Scallops Sauce Maltaise Skewer:** Light and refreshing, these scallops were cooked to perfection. You can’t go wrong with this dish! **Profiteroles:** A wonderful mix of pastry, ice cream, and matcha cream. This dessert is a hit!
The frog leg tempura was an interesting twist, but the flavorful batter somewhat masked the taste of the frog meat. The Brussels sprouts okonomiyaki was decent, though it would have benefitted from a bit more seasoning for the sprouts instead of just relying on the sauce on top. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant, but one thing to note is that the dishes tend to be a bit salty, especially since they don’t serve bread. I would suggest ordering a side of bread to accompany your meal.
I always have a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Their back patio is heated superbly, making it comfortable even in the middle of winter. The servers are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the service is impressively fast. The food is not only intriguing and well-prepared but also affordable enough that it feels special for any occasion. Don’t overlook the French radishes; it might sound unusual, but they are truly one of the standout dishes here. The short rib and pork belly skewers are also fantastic, along with the Japanese milk bread. The only dish I wouldn’t recommend is the duck skewers, which I found to be a bit too spicy for my liking. Overall, this is the perfect restaurant—please, don’t change a thing. I hope they’re here forever! (The photos are from two visits.)
I. Love. Maison. Yaki. Delicious food, amazing service, and great ambience. Sit at the bar and chat with the chefs if you can, it absolutely adds to the experience! I loved watching them make our food and talk about their upcoming specials. Super talented folks in that kitchen. My favorites were the Duck L?orange, Duck Rillete, Scallop skewers, and oyster mushroom skewers. They have fantastic cocktails too! Definitely recommend.
