I absolutely love the vegan lox and usually have it at least once a week!
I recently placed an order with Lula Bagel and was disappointed to discover that only the gluten-free bagels are vegan. They also no longer offer vegan lox. It was a waste of money since I can't even eat my bagel now.
During our trip to NY, my partner and I ate here EVERY DAY. Get the everything bagel with tofu cream cheese and you WONT be disappointed. Oh! And a iced soy latte
If you love delicious, well-seasoned chicken and sides with a herbaceous flavor, then this is the perfect restaurant for you! It is one of my favorite discoveries in Brooklyn and a must-visit if you are in the area. I make sure to order at least once a week and always plan it around my favorite sides. They offer a variety of special sides that clearly show how much care goes into each one. The cornbread is especially outstanding! I am still trying to figure out the spice blend used on the chicken that gives it such a fantastic flavor while still feeling light on the palate. The potatoes are a must-have, and if you visit on a Friday, I highly recommend trying the CousCous. Another dish that stands out is the short rib! The rich flavors and tender vegetables cooked in the juices are absolutely divine. The only downside is that there is no seating available, so you have to take your food to go. But trust me, the food is so good that you won't mind finding a nearby bench to savor every bite without having to wait. It's the kind of meal that will have you eagerly looking forward to getting home to enjoy it.
