Great food! super cool environment and worker! the middle mondo burrito was like a little baby!

They have large servings even if you get smaller plates. Good selection of toppings for either nachos or burritos. Lots of craft and bottled beer selections. Prices are reasonable. I got a medium burrito and barely finished half.

The Blue Moose is a very cool fairly new restaurant that is nestled away in the small town of Brookings. It offers a pleasant relaxed feel with the food offerings of the American-Mexican style. The place itself is very open, has many tables, and a bar for seating. This is the second time I have been here and it has always been clean. No plates or trash left on tables by previous guests. The menu is small but has everything you want from burritos to nacho plates. The first time I ordered a steak burrito for its size, the 12 dollar price was a little high. The burrito was well wrapped and tasted pretty good. The steak was dry for my tastes. On my second time I ordered a chicken burrito and it was much better. The grilled chicken had a nice smokey flavor. I would prefer if the chicken was cut into smaller pieces so when eating from a burrito it can be more bite size. My wife ordered a burrito bowl and she said it was tasty with the chicken. When ordering we asked if they had any kids meals the worker said they didn’t. But while eating our meal he brought us a cheese quesadilla for my daughter free of charge! It was a nice surprise and my daughter loved it. I like this place a lot it’s the type of restaurants this area needs and deserves. Only thing I would ask if they could turn the music down a little, it was pretty loud for the lunch crowd. I could see it turned up for the night scene. Overall a perfect place for a burrito and the next time I stop by I’m definitely getting the French fry nachos!

The portions here are generous, even with the smaller plates. They offer a great variety of toppings for nachos and burritos. There's also an impressive selection of handcrafted beers. The prices are quite reasonable. I ordered a medium burrito, and it was definitely filling!

By this place enthusiastic! the mondo part of the nachos was too big for me to finish. to go back!
