Salt Porch - Brookings

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by an atmosphere that felt like a blend of Hawaii and a charming fishing community. The decor is vibrant and distinctive, showcasing fascinating artwork and creating a delightful outdoor ambiance (even though it's indoors). The food is exceptional! I enjoyed the unique asparagus and flavorful mushroom dishes, along with a delicious crab cake and revitalizing tequila shrimp.

This is a very new restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. We had dinner that included dessert and non-alcoholic drinks, and the total came to around $100 for five people. We truly enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. The chocolate cake was outstanding. We look forward to returning!

This is an excellent restaurant! We've traveled along the entire coast and dined at many places, but this has been my favorite by far. The crab cake and fish and chips were absolutely fantastic! Everything else we tried was amazing as well! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering plenty of suggestions and engaging in great conversations. If you ever find yourself in Brookings, make sure to check it out!

We really enjoyed our meal here and both specialties were fantastic. we had the dungeness crab encrusted halibut and the tequila saffron lime prawns, as well as the clam chowder and a piece of cheesecake. all were worth coming back. our only regret was that we were in town for only one night!

Great restaurant! Great food! Great staff! I can't say enough good about this place. Had the halibut fish and chips. Fish was cooked perfectly. Friends ordered the rock fish and chips, the poke nachos, salmon fish and chips, and crab cakes. They were so busy, and were understaffed that day, and being as we came in during the last hour they were open, they were out of crab for crab cakes and were out of rockfish. They took the very last of the crab, which only made 2 cakes, and gave them to us free. They comped our desserts and my friend's margarita due to the inconvenience of being out of crab and rockfish. The staff was open and communicative, attentive, and apologetic. They strove to make our dining experience great. The food was great and the crab cakes were some of the best I've had in Brookings!! Will definitely be coming here again!!!
