Mr. Submarine - Brookfield

The standout feature of this restaurant is definitely the staff. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches are amazing, and I highly recommend trying the turkey—it's fantastic! The bread is just perfect. This is my favorite spot to visit whenever I'm in the Loyola area.

I arrived at 9 PM after driving 15 minutes, as the restaurant was advertised as open. When I got there, I noticed a woman wearing a Mr. Submarine shirt and hat sitting in a booth, but the door was locked. All the signs indicated that they were open, with the lights on, yet I was completely ignored at the door.

I paid $18 for a small sub, fries, and a drink—what a complete rip-off! Shaking my head.

I ordered 5 garlic fries yesterday only recieved 4 and had to recook half the fries as they weren't done all the way. For spending $31 I am not very happy. I waited close to 30 minutes and still things were messed up. I even called ahead so they could get started. Took me 15 minutes to get there then took another 30 minutes to get my incomplete food order. Don't think I will be going back to this place after I get my replacement fries today.

Mr. Submarine is and always will be my favorite sandwich shop. You can't beat the classics and this place serves them up fresh every single day.
