Contribuiți la feedbackLet me just say the service is horrible not once but twice. My teen daughter asked me if they were prejudiced. I will never patronize them again. I have been there probably 10 times and tip very well, the last two times were the worst. I?ve eaten atjust about every restaurant in Little Italy Bronx NY. Luna Cafe it?s not a good look for you if you continue to discriminateyour clientele. Just Horrible! You never know when you are entertaining an Angel be kind. I did not want to give you 1 star butit won?t let me post if I don?t hit the star. No star for you!
What a disappointment. This place went down the hill for real. Ordered a margherita pizza supposed to be fresh mozz ,sauce and basil) and got this instead: A tortilla with light cheese, sauce and olives?? Hot pepper?? . Asked them for basil they saidthey don?t have it. Someone should?ve told me when they took the order. This place is a joke
Very friendly and accommodating! Lovely 3-wall, covered outdoor dining with decorative greenery. Apparently the area has a lot of Albanian and Turkish cuisine (Cakor, Çka Ka Qellu, No Fork, and Gurra Cafe to name a few with outdoor dining , so eventhough the place has a large assortment of food including sandwiches, pasta, and salads, I really wanted to try from theirtraditional Albanian section, since I 've never had any before. The waitress was really nice and patiently did her best to walkme through what everything was when she saw me trying to look up pictures of the food items online ????. After we finallydecided to order (was waiting for a friend to arrive they asked us if we each wanted a cup of traditional soup on the house! Itwas yummy, but I didn 't catch the name. Surprisingly, I think the complimentary Samoon bread didn 't arrive until the entreesdid. It was great with the soup, of course : I decided on the Banja Luka Bunja Luka (Samoon traditional bread, pulledfilet with mushrooms onions, with sour cream which from the waitresses description I summed up, So it 's like a sandwich? She wasn 't sure. Uh... It 's not quite like a... Philly Cheesesteak. But at the end when I had finished thinly sliced steak(actually, yeah, like in a Philly Cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions in a giant, wide and tall, puffy, airy samoon breadsliced she asked, So what do you think? Is it a sandwich? I said, Oh definitely! An Albanian Sandwich! So if you hear itbeing described as such at Luna Cafe, know that I was the one who coined it! My husband had the Mixed Combo from thetraditional Albanian Menu section. It included 5 kebap, 2 qoftes, 1 sausage, and 1 pc. grilled chicken. It 's a bit of anappetizer sampler plate with sausages, fried patties, chicken, and a small side salad. He said it was good! My friend orderedthe penne a la vodka which came with a side salad in a bowl with feta on top.
Awesome Albanian enclave of a restaurant. Between this and the coffee shop at the other end of Arthur Avenue you have the European relaxed feel along with authentic dishes such as the byrek which is pictured. This particular one is spinach and isvery common to get as a breakfast and Tiranë Albania. The service is nice here but they will practice the stoicism of EasternEurope so I do not but expect to be fawned over while you dine.
La Luna is BEST restaurant in Little Italy left!! The best customer service, fresh food and even the water w/ lemon, salad, soup and entree was delicious! The food came out in a timely manner and we had a great time without being rushed or bothered at all. I went home later to realize I left my bag there and when I called they had it and were so sweet about it. The next morning Iwent back and had a cappuccino with a croissant which they offered to put Nutella on ???? and it was delicious too!!!!!! Thiswill be the only restaurant for me for breakfast, brunch and definitely dinner! It?s the gem of restaurants in LittleItaly!!!!!!!! Finally a great experience!!!!!!
