Service is fine and friendly, it’s very busy so quite loud inside but the food itself is nothing to write home about.
Visited today for breakfast . Food was good and service ok. My husband had a problem because it was very busy and he struggled with his hearing aids taking in the whole noise. Coffee was great and salmon egg Benedict was tasty
I ordered two coffees, that came to £10 exactly. When I got back to my table I happened to look at the price of drinks on the menu, I did think it was expensive for two drinks. To find that it should have come to £6.50!. When drink’s arrived I mentioned to the waitress who had my receipt on the tray. I’d been charged for 3 not 2, this had been crossed out by whoever. Now I’m fully aware that mistakes happen, but surely the girl who served me must have thought that £10 was too much charge. Then noticed this as it was amended, but still didn’t bother to let me know. Good job I noticed myself. I’d advise anyone, check menu prices and receipts.
Returned after a month following a poor meal only to find that things haven’t improved. Still seems to be a sale on in relation to cherry tomatoes as that’s all that’s on the breakfast. My son had a breakfast burrito which was soggy and uninteresting. Will try again in the Spring when hopefully things will have improved
Very poor food experience and rude staff today. We come here frequently but food and service weren’t good this visit. The place was not as busy as usual so they weren’t overstretched. Ordered full breakfast with poached, came with scrambled… missing the £2 extra hash brown. On querying, hash brown arrived but I was told rudely that I’d ordered scrambled.. my husband doesn’t eat scrambled so I think I know what I ordered! My corned beef hash was anything but.., boiled potatoes were arranged round the bowl edge, a spoonful of chopped corned beef straight from a tin sat in the middle, those were just topped with way more baked beans than was necessary with a fried egg on top… this was a bowl of baked beans with extra bits to pad it out… it certainly wasn’t corned beef hash which by nature is a mixed ingredient, fried dish. We both left over half our meals. £37 wasted. Shame as this has been our “go to” local place for ages.
