Family birthday celebration, good food great value ..

My Wife and I had an evening out with my Brother in law and sister in law and went to The Rib Shack in Petts Wood as it had been recommended previously I have to say we certainly were not disappointed, wonderful food, friendly and obliging staff, not bad prices either, we will certainly be back one day, Happy Customer Kevin

After waiting an hour and 50 minutes, yes almost two hours, for our main course last night for a family birthday meal, and 3 being not very nice at all, we won’t be going back. We watched the takeaway orders go out one after the other, and our meal was not forthcoming as there were ten of us apparently! The waitress staff were very nice, but the chefs need to take a good look at their service. My sister didn’t have a starter and so having arrived at 6.30, her meal came at 8.20pm, and the slimy jerk chicken and the rice were inedible. Such a shame as we try our hardest to eat local, and ended up taking the birthday cake home in its box uncelebrated. Truly disappointing!

Popped in for lunch during a Christmas shopping stint in Bromley Firstly I was surprised to find no ribs on the menu. I understand it’s lunchtime and the full menu is swapped for a more basic menu, however ‘ Rib Shack’ with no ribs! The menu consists of chicken wings, filets or burger. Very limited considering it’s all frozen food. I ordered some chicken wings and a coffee. I was informed no coffee, only soft drinks or beer. I decided to go for the 440ml of lager. They didn’t have that either, I was a served with the alternative, a small dumpy bottle of Red Stripe for the same price, hardly reasonable. The food was ok but just processed from a freezer. The service was fine and after all, this is not the waitress’ fault. There was no offer of a finger bowl or wet wipes to clean sticky fingers from eating chicken wings so I went into the toilet to wash my hands, I was greeted by a blocked toilet full of excrement! Again not blaming anybody in particular but never the less disgusting. My over all opinion is I wouldn’t go again!

Went for a meal for my dads 75th, so so disappointed. Couldn’t do me potatoe skins with no cheese, why? Because they are frozen? Even though there was no mention of Cheese being on them on the menu, there was also no mention of cheese in the Cajun chicken Ciabatta, the waitress then came over to ask which cheese sauce I wanted, I said no sauce at all. Next thing we know the chef came out and was heard moaning about “what’s this no cheese business?” Then the waitress came over and asked why I didn’t want cheese, was I allergic? I told her I just don’t like any cheese, to which she replied thank god??? My mum ordered sea bass which was so dry, the potatoes weren’t sautéed, but instead new potatoes cut in half and fours, my 7yr nieces meal wasn’t brought out with the starters and was then made to wait nearly 5 mins for ketchup, which is a long time for a hungry 7 yr old. The ribs were brought out on metal trays that didn’t sit flat on the table, they went cold very quickly. No water or wipes brought round for sticky rib finger either. The bill for 7 adults 1 child £200!!! Rip off. Please no one else put up with this shoddy restaurant it really is the pits.
