Contribuiți la feedbackIn all the years of living in this area, I finally visited this pub for Sunday lunch with our three sons. I’d heard some good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The roast was very tasty without being piled high on the plate. Vegetables can often be bland but every item on the plate was full of flavour. The apple crumble was very wholesome and delicious.
Excellent freshly cooked Sunday lunch food Reasonably priced Very friendly and attentive staff Very clean Sports TVs unobtrusive Highly recommend
I visited on Sunday as a walk in and the beef was overcooked and chewy and the food was not very pleasant. Disappointed with this visit.
We booked the Lampards Lounge out for a wake. The staff couldn't do more to faciliate us, very helpful. Buffet food was good with a nice variation, and extra food request (cheeseboard) was perfect. Tv's had the facility to have pictures to personalise the space. It was the correct style location for us and albiet the occasion we were happy with the pub, staff and facilities.
Today, we visited this restaurant for the first time after passing by countless times. The roast dinner was the best I've had in a long time, perfectly cooked with a delicious jus. The desserts were equally impressive, with my crumble being outstanding and my children loving the chocolate pudding. The chef even came out to introduce himself, showing his passion for cooking and friendliness. While we can't speak for the previous decor, the current layout felt slightly confused and lacking charm. Despite the sports on TV being a bit odd in the small dining room, the food was exceptional. We'll be back to try more from the menu, as the chef's talent shines through. The location may not be the greatest, but the food makes it worth a return visit.
