Contribuiți la feedbackI love this place and have been coming since it opened but the last few times I’ve been, I’ve had to wait around 15 mins for a takeaway coffee. Staff are getting stressed and flustered, mixing up orders and on two occasions they simply stopped taking orders because they’d got so behind (but didn’t explain this to the waiting customers). I’m sure they are trying their best but it’s awful to see customers walking out. Such a shame as I really want to continue to enjoy coming here, and the coffee is great! I like supporting local businesses and want to see them thrive. Not sure what the problem is maybe the kitchen is too small to cope with all the food orders or perhaps the staff need dedicated roles eg. One person making all the coffee. Maybe the menu is too diverse for that little kitchen? It would help too if a staff member perhaps explained that there would be a long wait due to it being particularly busy, and then we could decide whether to leave the queue. I’m putting this review on here in the hope that the owners will see it and make some changes. I really hope it improves.
Visited for brunch with my three teens. I say brunch; for me, it was way past lunchtime for them, being on half term, 1230 was frankly first thing in the morning! Coffee was good, full English for rapidly growing boy was “immense”. Milkshake and panini, “lush” and despite the cold (of which no one can be responsible for...unless you speak with the resident vegan, whose needs would have been amply catered for, had she been hungry... , we all enjoyed our half term treat of breakfast/lunch out, out. With many thanks to the hospitable welcome from the staff and the warmth of the felt blankets left for customers using the outside space. Many thanks!
It's far too small, and trying to be something that it's not. Markets itself as an artisan place, but the food isn't that great, nor is the coffee.
We are new to the area and absolutely love this cafe! It is our go to on a weekend for breakfast. Chatterton Road doesn’t have a large offering of nice brunch spots with outside seating etc so this place is a gem. It is so nice sitting outside here on a sunny day, with smashed avo on toast and a delicious latte. We love that it is dog friendly too! Thank you Pearson Hearn!
New to the P&H menu are their omelettes made with free range eggs and loads of different filling options decent cheddar, roasted peppers, ham etc. Mine was superbly cooked, arriving with a seasoned salad garnish of lettuce tomato and red onion and a pot of mayo. Great coffee too. Happy friendly staff, we loved the complimentary rugs provided to ward off early morning September chills. Brilliant.
