We came back in the evening to the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies which they serve every evening for free! The only negative things are the limited parking (cramped tiny parking lots) the hallways needed carpet cleaning.
We travelled here in August, 2023 for medical care at St Mary's (Mayo Clinic Hospital. Stayed for three nights. Overall, a very positive experience. [1] The hotel is next door to the Aspen Suites, so when you arrive make sure you have the correct hotel. This one has limited frontage on the street. [2] Free parking in the back of the building (not covered . Limited handicapped parking on ground floor level of the hotel. The handicapped parking is dimly lit and tight (small spaces . [3] Free cookies served from 6:00 8:00 pm in lobby. Lobby also sells umbrellas, tylenol and a few other necessaries. [4] Hotel furnishings are definitely dated and carpets are worn, etc. But no one comes here for a luxury vacation experience it is perfect for what it is. [5] Bed was excellent with lots of pillows. [6] The fifth floor where we stayed was mostly quiet. The walls are thin and I could hear every detail of my neighbor's news program one night. I also heard people leaving for surgery at 5:30 one morning. [7] Elevator works fine. [8] No window to open for fresh air, but air conditioner worked well. [9] As you can see from the map, this hotel is located right across the street from the hospital. The surgery check in location is within easy walking distance (maybe 200 yards? [10] I booked for 5 days at doc's recommendation. We were lucky and were discharged after 3 days. The hotel was accomodating to cancel the last two days with no penalty. [11] There is a reclinder in the room, and several decorative pillows that can be arranged for a reasonably comfortable night's sleep if you need that option. [12] No on site restaurant, but there is a family friendly restaurant two doors over (The Canadian Honker and a soup and salad place next door on the other side. The Honker will deliver to the hotel. [13] Wifi worked fine for my purposes. [14] The alarm clock in the room is some kind of Cubie. If you are not techy, you may need help from the front desk to set it properly. [15] Fridge and microwave in room. [16] I believe it would fully wheelchair accessible, or darned close.
Good location rooms are nice they are a little small and outdated but if your here as a patient it's
The parking is absolutely terrible, there is not enough spaces, the spots that were there were for compact cars. One of the walls of the room is a giant window, which can seem nice except when your trying to sleep and the hallway light is on all night. During our stay the AC failed. The front desk looks like a disaster space.
Was a nice stay but the air conditioning would not keep up. Room got rather
