Probably the best more ‘modern’ take on Nepalese cuisine anywhere in NYC. They took a bold decision by not having dal bhat in a Nepalese restaurant but boy has that paid off. New Yorkers should open their eyes more to Nepalese food over Indian food. Honestly, the spices are better tasting and more unique than the bland usual normal spices everybody is accustomed to with Indian food. The jhol mo:mo is a burst of juicy meat and the sauce is as equally delicious. Their skewers were the highlight for me. Juicy, spicy marinated meat heated bbq’ed over flames. And don’t forget to get the Duck Choila, chilled marinated dish. Spicy and full of flavors. More of this kind of restaurants would definitely increase the “upscaleness” of Nepali cuisine it so rightly deserves. Definitely coming back here for more.

Excellent place with great food, service, and atmosphere. Very clean and affordable as well. Cash only but has atm inside.
