Union Square Cafe - Broad Channel

Coming in to dine at USC was elegant. Even at the bar it felt lively and service was amazing. I had their beef tartare w/chips, duck pasta, lamb and their white truffle dessert. I loved both their gin drinks since I am a gin type of girl and also had two glasses of wine which complimented my dishes. I will be back for more.

Amazing Pasta, veggies and a perfect apple cake and Chablis pairing! Great atmosphere too!

Maybe i set my expectations too high due to some raving reviews i’ve seen of this place, but i didn’t find that the food stood out particularly. the rigatoni was good but nothing special, as well with the bean soup. the desserts were the best; the apple cake moist and the cookie platter had a nice variety of chewy cookies.

My entire family have been going to USC for years at both the original and this location. This was the first time I have been disappointed and have deleted my older five-star review for this one. Our party of five was tucked in the upstairs back corner. The table and upstairs was so dark that I couldn't actually see my food let alone the menu.
