The Social Brooklyn - Broad Channel

As a spin-off of the renowned Ample Hills, it's no surprise that the ice cream here is outstanding: thick, rich, creative, and creamy—possibly my favorite in all five boroughs of New York. My go-to flavors are the ooey gooey butter cake and peppermint pattie (or sometimes both!), but there's truly something to satisfy every palate. (Just a note: I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to snap a photo until after I'd taken a few bites. Trust me, a cone has even more to offer than what’s shown here.)

The customer service was incredible! We were able to sample a few flavors before making our selections, which made the experience much less daunting given the wide array of delicious and unique options available. I decided on the mango sorbet, island flavor, banana pudding, and red velvet.

Delicious flavors! The marshmallow rice krispy treat with banana and Nilla wafers was fantastic. It's a great spot for families as they have a small play area for kids!

The ice cream brings to mind oobleck; it's quite chewy. The more you squeeze it, the more it resists. However, if you take a bite and don’t do anything, it melts away almost immediately, much like cotton candy. It’s definitely an unusual texture, and I’m not really a fan of it. On the bright side, the staff are very friendly, and they have pinball!

All of their flavors are amazing! I absolutely love their ice creams! The staff is also very kind and friendly.
