This was very much a treat. I stopped by on a whim to find this gem of a restaurant during the last night in the city and was very happy to be seated quickly and in one of the coolest dining areas that I?ve ever come across. Popped in for a late lunch/early dinner as this place was close to our hotel while visiting for the weekend. Very nice welcoming ambiance and we were promptly seated. Unfortunately our table (even for NYC standards) was WAY too close to the next party and they made their dismay clear. As a restauranteur I am always inspired by beautiful restaurants and this one was a huge hit for me on a recent trip to New York City. Food, service and atmosphere were all on point! Well done to the staff and team. The lighting in particular is perfection and your adherence to your overall theme impressive. A personal thank you to Connor, who served us three Canadian ladies with attention and personality. He took the time to not only do his job with professional care, but also paused to answer our many questions about the restaurant. He was passionate and knowledgeable even taking pride in showing us around the many beautiful spaces in the establishment including the charming speakeasy in the basement. Give this guy a raise, a promotion or at very least buy him a drink. He is a keeper! This is a true testament to the importance of great restaurants as they set the stage for beautiful moments in life. Thank you!

We went to bo peep cocktail and highball store and had the absolute best time. this is a speakeasy piano bar where all of the servers do incredibly fun renditions of pop songs. it's super loud, so not great for a conversation, but perfect for singing and dancing. we had so much fun

Near 36th and Broadway you will find the Ragtrader. When you walk in you will be surprised at the variation of dining areas and bar. Dining can be had on the main floor or upstairs, while the bar area is on the main floor. We were fortunate to be able to obtain a table in the crowded bar area within 10 minutes of arriving at 630pm. This was likely due to the 6pm end of the Happy Hour. We ordered apps, which included a generous portion of olives and cheese with a separate order of large perfectly seared scallops. For bourbons, they had a decent selection, but my go-to Weller Reserve wasn't available and I then went with Eagle Rare as a backup. I did try a specialty drink, 3 PIECE SUIT which was a NO GOOD. After drinking a good bourbon you immediately notice the low grade house bourbon put into this cocktail. It did not live up to the $18 price tag. SKIP IT. As food past by it seemed that many people were ordering pizza. The size of the pies were 12 thin crust, as expected. Nothing stood out about them, but again this was my observation and not consumption. Overall the apps were worth the experience of exploration but would not put this on my list to return.
